State-Level Cross Agency Collaborations: Stories and Strategies from the Field Designed to Address the Direct Support Staff (DSP) Crisis
Explore how a state collaborates across agencies to address the shortage of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Panelists from the LEAD Center and Direct Care Workforce Strategies Center will discuss how technical assistance and peer learning help states exchange strategies and proven practices. Additionally, panelists from North Carolina will discuss how their state engages in cross-agency initiatives to positively impact recruitment and retention of DSPs.
What is a DSP – A DSP, or direct support professional, is someone who works with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities to live their life to the fullest and engage in their communities.
The LEAD Center is committed to ensuring that all attendees can participate fully in its webinars. We provide live CART and ASL interpreting for all our webinars, but if you would like an additional accommodation, please email Courtney Williams at cwilliams@ndi-inc.org within 7 days of the event.
