CDE Youth Leadership Symposium
The Center for Disability Empowerment CDE, in partnership with the OSU Disability Studies Program and the Mental Health and Disability Alliance (MHaD), is hosting a Youth Leadership Symposium. This one-day, 6-hour event is designed to foster leadership, self-advocacy, and empowerment among young people with disabilities. This event will be hosted in-person as well as via Zoom for participants who are unable to join us.

Event Details:
- Date: Monday, January 19th, 2026 (in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
- Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Location: Denney Hall, The Ohio State University (164 Annie and John Glenn Ave, Columbus, OH 43210)
Deadline to register: Wednesday, January 14th at 5:00 PM.
This event is co-sponsored by the Disability Studies Program at The Ohio State University and will be taking place alongside the Disability Studies Program Open House.
Eligibility:
- You identify as a disabled person
- You are a high school student or recent high school graduate (age 16 to 22)
- You live in Franklin, Delaware, Union, or Licking County
